Swiss sandstone is a stone with a distinctive character. Up close it reveals an intricate, almost jewel-like surface graphic; from a distance it reads as a uniform, tranquil expanse. It is precisely this visual effect that forms the foundation of Italon Cosmos: a collection where minimalism does not mean emptiness, and restraint is a deliberate choice.

The three colours in the series—White, Rope, and Grey—are conceived as a neutral foundation. They do not compete for attention, yet they set the tone for an entire space. The 60×120 cm format at 9 mm thickness lays flat and fast, creating a continuous plane without visual fragmentation—exactly what is needed in a living room with panoramic glazing, an office lobby, or a retail floor where a sense of scale matters.

For projects that extend beyond interior walls, Italon developed Cosmos X2—an exterior version with a 20 mm slab and slip-resistant surface. Two colours—Sand and Grey—in the same 60×120 cm format ensure visual continuity: a terrace, garden pathway, or façade appears as an extension of the interior rather than a separate solution.
